Due to Hurricane Irma, National Gandhi Day of Service and Hurricanes Help the Hometown are combining efforts to support our local South Florida community through this time of recovery!! 

"The Magic of Service" Day of Service will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Registration will close on Monday, October 23, 2017.

All students must check-in at the Lakeside Patio (near the University Center) at 9:00am on the Day of Service. 

Transportation, food and a t-shirt will be provided for volunteers. Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes for service. Bring a water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen. 

It is expected that "The Magic of Service" Day of Service will hit capacity in regards to participants. In the event that this occurs, participants will be notified of being wait-listed. 


This event is sponsored by:  National Gandhi Day of Service, Hurricanes Help the Hometown, the Homecoming Executive Committee and the Butler Center for Service and Leadership. 


Come be a part of history and UM tradition! Hurricanes Help the Hometown is an annual day during Homecoming in which University of Miami students commit their time to volunteer in different agencies around the community.
