Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Jan. 21, 2017 (9 a.m. -- 4 p.m.)
Location: Various Sites

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service began as a small Philadelphia project in 1996 but quickly became a nationwide movement to empower and strengthen communities through volunteer work. As the University of Miami's first service day of the spring semester, students are given the opportunity to break down barriers, meet people they would not ordinarily meet, give back to the Miami community and continue Dr. King's legacy of selflessness and service.

This service day is co-sponsored by The Butler Center for Service and Leadership, United Black Students, and Multicultural Student Affairs.
